French Ambassador to Bangladesh Jean-Marc Séré-Charlet and German Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Anja Kersten on Monday met National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener and Opposition Chief Whip Nahid Islam in Dhaka.
The meeting, held at the party’s Banglamotor central office, focused on the post-election political landscape, the NCP’s role in Parliament, and key reform initiatives, according to a press release.
Both sides also discussed regional developments, Indo-Pacific cooperation, Bangladesh’s economic outlook, and prospects for expanding economic partnerships.
They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Bangladesh’s ties with the European Union, France, and Germany through continued engagement on shared interests.
NCP Spokesperson Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, International Affairs Cell In-charge Alauddin Mohammad, and member Navid Nawroz Shah were also present.
