Barishal: Information and Broadcasting Minister Jahir Uddin Swapan on Monday said that hospitals are centers of public trust and that healthcare services must be patient-friendly.
Speaking at a meeting organized by the management committee of Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH), the minister emphasized the need for a long-term and effective strategic plan to improve the hospital’s quality of care. He said that modern medical equipment, skilled healthcare professionals, digital health services, accountability, and a patient-friendly environment are essential to enhancing the standard of healthcare.
The minister said the government is implementing various development initiatives to make healthcare services more accessible to people across the country. Ensuring transparency, good governance, and technology-driven hospital management, he added, would enable citizens to receive faster and higher-quality medical services.
