Cupertino, July 30: Apple has become the world’s second publicly traded company to surpass a $5 trillion market valuation, reaching more than $5.036 trillion during Tuesday’s trading session as its share price climbed to $342.89. The milestone comes after semiconductor giant Nvidia became the first company to cross the $5 trillion mark.
Apple has also reclaimed its position as the world’s most valuable company, with its stock gaining about 25 percent so far this year, outperforming many major technology firms.
Unlike rivals that have invested heavily in artificial intelligence infrastructure, Apple has adopted a more cost-efficient strategy by integrating Google’s AI technology into Siri instead of developing its own large-scale AI models.
Analysts say Apple’s decision to keep iPhone prices unchanged, despite modest increases for MacBook and iPad models, has supported strong consumer demand. Expectations of future price hikes have also encouraged customers to buy iPhones sooner.
The company has also introduced a new iPhone leasing program in partnership with Klarna, allowing customers to pay in affordable monthly installments rather than making a full upfront payment.
Market analysts expect Apple to report revenue growth of more than 15 percent in its next quarterly earnings report, reflecting continued strong demand and investor confidence.
