India has continued to expand international cooperation on digital public infrastructure (DPI), with bilateral consultations progressing with several partner countries, including the Lao PDR, Seychelles, Venezuela, Armenia, Fiji, Guyana and Colombia, for the potential adoption of key Indian digital solutions such as e-Sanjeevani, e-Office and e-Hospital.

India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has also been linked with payment systems in several countries to facilitate person-to-person (P2P) remittances and person-to-merchant (P2M) transactions.

The Indian government regularly facilitates study visits and technical exchanges for foreign delegations, allowing them to engage with key institutions, including the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), National e-Governance Division (NeGD), National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), National Informatics Centre (NIC) and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC).

These engagements enable partner countries to discuss implementation challenges and draw on India’s experience in developing digital public infrastructure.

Recent study visits have included delegations from Kenya, Rwanda, Nepal, Indonesia and South Africa.

The government has also approved the Social Impact Fund (SIF), a government-led, multi-stakeholder initiative designed to provide financial support and technical assistance for pilot DPI projects across the Global South, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
