The Bangladesh Embassy in Libya is working to repatriate more than 300 Bangladeshi nationals through a special flight scheduled for 6 August.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the embassy said it is continuing efforts to ensure the safe, orderly and dignified return of Bangladeshi migrants who have voluntarily expressed their interest in returning home.

As part of these efforts, Bangladesh Ambassador to Libya, Major General Md Habib Ullah, recently held a meeting with Libya’s interior minister, seeking cooperation to accelerate the repatriation process.

The embassy is also maintaining close coordination with Libyan authorities, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate the process.

According to the embassy, the special flight will depart from Tripoli to Dhaka under the supervision of the Bangladesh mission, with support from Libya’s Government of National Unity.

Officials said arrangements are being finalised to ensure the smooth return of the registered migrants, as the embassy continues to work closely with all parties involved.
