Police arrested 424 people and filed 68 cases during operations carried out across the capital in the 24 hours ending Friday morning.
The information was disclosed on Friday by Niaz Mehdi, Additional Deputy Commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
He said various crime and detective units of the DMP conducted raids in different police station areas of the capital, recovering weapons and illegal drugs while making the arrests.
“Legal proceedings against the arrested individuals are underway,” he said.
