Saudi deputy foreign minister arrives in Dhaka on 2-day visit

Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Foreign Minister has arrived in Dhaka on a two-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries.

During the visit, the Saudi deputy minister is expected to hold meetings with senior Bangladeshi government officials to discuss a wide range of issues, including trade and investment, labour migration, energy cooperation, and regional developments.

The visit is also likely to focus on enhancing collaboration in areas of mutual interest and reviewing the overall state of Bangladesh-Saudi Arabia relations.

Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia maintain close diplomatic and economic ties, with the Kingdom hosting one of the largest Bangladeshi expatriate communities. Riyadh remains a major destination for Bangladeshi migrant workers and an important development partner.

The visit comes weeks after Saudi Arabia invited Bangladesh’s Prime Minister to pay an official visit to the Kingdom, signalling growing momentum in bilateral engagement and cooperation.
