July Uprising event rescheduled in Dhaka

The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has rescheduled the timing of a programme marking “July Uprising Day 2026,” set to be held on August 5 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Dhaka.

The update was announced in an urgent press release issued by the ministry on Tuesday (August 4).

According to the notice, the event—titled a reception and discussion meeting for families of July martyrs and July fighters—will now begin at 12:00pm instead of the previously scheduled 11:00am on the same day, due to unavoidable circumstances.

All invited guests, family members of martyrs, July fighters, and media personnel have been requested to arrive at the venue at least one hour before the revised time.

The programme is being organised to commemorate July Uprising Day and honour those who contributed to the movement.
