Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Saturday joined a doctors’ rally organised to mark the 37th founding anniversary of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB).
The rally was held at the LD Hall premises of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in the capital in the morning.
The prime minister was accompanied by his wife, Dr Zubaida Rahman, Vice-Chairperson of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation.
Before joining the rally, Tarique Rahman and Dr Zubaida Rahman planted neem and arjun saplings on the LD Hall premises.
The prime minister later formally inaugurated the doctors’ rally by hoisting the national and party flags and releasing balloons and pigeons.
DAB leaders, activists and physicians from different parts of the country attended the rally organised to mark the association’s founding anniversary.
