The ASEAN Dhaka Committee (ADC), comprising the Heads of Mission of ASEAN member states accredited to Bangladesh, organised the ASEAN Dhaka Committee Golf Tournament 2026 at Kurmitola Golf Club in Dhaka on Saturday.
Held as part of activities marking the 59th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the tournament brought together members of the diplomatic corps, ASEAN representatives, invited guests and members of Bangladesh’s golfing community.
The event was aimed at fostering friendship, goodwill and closer people-to-people ties between ASEAN member states and Bangladesh, while providing an informal platform for interaction beyond formal diplomatic engagements.
The tournament also formed part of ASEAN’s efforts to enhance its visibility and outreach in Bangladesh and promote greater awareness of the regional bloc, its shared values and its commitment to cooperation.
The first tee-off took place at 7:00am, followed by a luncheon and prize-giving ceremony. ASEAN Heads of Mission presented prizes to the winners before a raffle draw was held.
Commemorative crests were also presented in appreciation of the support extended to the tournament.
The event was attended by ASEAN Heads of Mission and their representatives, members of the Diplomatic Corps, guests of the Tiger Golf Club and representatives of the wider golfing community in Bangladesh.
