Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt’s international action thriller 7 Dogs is set to hit Indian theatres on August 21, bringing the two Bollywood stars together on the big screen once again.

The film has already premiered in several Middle Eastern markets and will now be released for Indian audiences. The appearances of Salman and Sanjay are expected to be among the film’s major attractions.

Written and produced by Turki Al-Sheikh, 7 Dogs centres on a criminal syndicate of the same name and a dangerous new drug called Pink Lady.

According to Variety, the story follows Interpol officer Khalid Al-Azzazi, who arrests Ghali Abu Dawood, a senior member of the criminal organisation. A year later, the syndicate resurfaces with plans to distribute the new drug across the Middle East.

Khalid is then forced to work with Ghali, who possesses extensive knowledge of the criminal group and its operations.

Interest in the film increased after its trailer showcased appearances by Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt.

In one scene, Salman, dressed in a white suit, says, “You know what he does? He documents his whole life.” In another, he asks a character, “Why do you look like a criminal to me?”

Sanjay Dutt is also featured walking alongside a group of men while holding a gadget, adding to the film’s action-driven atmosphere.

The two actors have shared the screen several times, including in Saajan (1991), Chal Mere Bhai (2000) and Yeh Hai Jalwa (2002). They reunited more recently in 2025 for singer AP Dhillon’s track Old Money.
