A large tree was uprooted and fell on two parked private cars in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi area on Monday evening amid heavy rain and strong winds, damaging both vehicles.
The incident occurred around 7:45pm on Road 12/A, west of the Abahani Field.
No one was inside either car at the time, and no casualties were reported.
Police said the tree fell because of the strong winds accompanying the rain.
Fire Service and city corporation personnel were called to the scene to remove the tree.
The fallen tree temporarily disrupted traffic in the area.
