Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has vowed to do everything in his power to ensure Palestinian prisoners are executed, saying he hopes they will be hanged “one by one.”

Speaking to former Israeli captive Rom Braslavski, Ben-Gvir said hanging would be the method of execution under the death penalty law he has been promoting.

“I will do the impossible when the time comes,” he said, pledging to “turn the world upside down” to make the executions happen.

Ben-Gvir also said he was “happy” that Palestinian prisoners were facing harsher conditions in Israeli prisons.

Israel’s parliament passed legislation on March 30, 2026, allowing the death penalty by hanging for Palestinians convicted of killing Israelis, if a military court determines the act constituted “terrorism” or was motivated by rejection of Israel’s existence.
