Pakistan cricket legend Wasim Akram has heaped praise on Bangladesh’s Hasan Mahmud and Tanzid Hasan following the Tigers’ historic nine-wicket victory over Australia in the first Test in Darwin.
Tanzid played a crucial role in the victory, scoring 101 in Bangladesh’s first innings—the first Test century by a Bangladeshi batter on Australian soil.
Hasan Mahmud was equally impressive with the ball, taking nine wickets in the match, including a six-wicket haul in Australia’s first innings.
Akram’s praise comes after Bangladesh secured their first-ever Test victory in Australia, a landmark achievement in the country’s cricket history.
