One person has died of dengue and 870 new patients have been hospitalised across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The latest figures were released on Monday by the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the DGHS.
The latest death was reported in Khulna division, raising the country’s dengue death toll this year to 71.
Meanwhile, 865 patients were discharged from hospitals during the same period, taking the total number of recoveries this year to 23,024.
With the latest admissions, the number of dengue cases reported across Bangladesh this year has reached 24,848.
