Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan’s sister has finally been allowed to meet him at Adiala Jail, but she remained silent after coming out of the prison, according to media reports.
The meeting comes amid growing concerns over Khan’s health and prolonged restrictions on family visits.
On Tuesday, Pakistan’s Supreme Court ordered authorities to transfer Khan from jail to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad for medical evaluation.
The court also directed that his family be allowed regular visits and phone contact with his sons.
Khan, 73, has been imprisoned since August 2023 and faces multiple legal cases.
His family and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have repeatedly raised concerns about his health, including reported problems with his eyesight.
The latest court order has intensified attention on Khan’s condition, while his family continues to press for better medical care and greater access to him.
