Pakistan’s military has said that making Bollywood-style films or documentaries cannot hide a defeat on the battlefield or rewrite history.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of Pakistan’s armed forces, made the remarks while strongly criticizing an Indian documentary on “Operation Sindoor.”
The ISPR accused India of using dramatic and cinematic portrayals to present its military performance as a victory while avoiding acknowledgment of what Pakistan described as its failures.
The Pakistani military also disputed the documentary’s account of how the military operation ended, arguing that communication between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of the two countries played a role in the cessation of hostilities.
The ISPR said attempts to portray Operation Sindoor as a unilateral Indian military victory were misleading.
It also warned that if India launches another military operation in the future, Pakistan’s armed forces would deliver a “decisive and disproportionate” response.
Pakistan reiterated its commitment to regional peace and stability while saying its armed forces remain prepared to protect the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and national interests.
