A delegation from Bangladesh’s Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) recently visited Pakistan to strengthen military collaboration. Led by Colonel Magfuz-ul-Bari, this six-member team arrived in Islamabad on August 15, 2026.
The visit comes amidst recent political developments in Dhaka. The team included notable figures such as Wing Commander Imrul Kais and Squadron Leader Raihan Mohammad Chowdhury.
According to Economic Times, the visit aims to bolster ties between Bangladesh’s DGFI and Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
Since 2024, changes in Bangladesh’s political arena have prompted close scrutiny from neighboring countries.
Past visits, including one by DGFI Director General Major General Qaiser Rashid Chowdhury, underscore ongoing efforts between the two nations. The focus of these discussions centers on regional security and intelligence sharing.
