Newly appointed Information Minister Andalib Rahman Partha on Saturday paid tribute and offered prayers at the graves of former president Ziaur Rahman and former prime minister Khaleda Zia in the capital’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.
Partha placed floral wreaths at their graves at Zia Udyan around 3:30pm and offered special prayers seeking the salvation of their souls.
He also pledged to discharge his responsibilities with sincerity for the country’s peace, prosperity, media freedom and overall development.
Leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) and its affiliated organisations were present during the tribute.
