Bangladesh pacer Shoriful Islam has made a historic 17-place jump to 57th in the latest ICC Test bowling rankings following his career-best performance against Australia in Mackay.
Shoriful claimed 7-48 in the second Test, while Mitchell Starc’s 10-wicket haul helped Australia secure an innings-and-51-run victory.
Starc has also achieved a career milestone, rising to the No. 1 spot in the ICC Test bowling rankings for the first time.
The Australian left-armer overtook India’s Jasprit Bumrah by 10 rating points.
The rankings move caps a remarkable turnaround for Shoriful, who returned from injury for the second Test and produced the best figures of his Test career.
