Apple is set to hold its much-anticipated annual product launch event on September 9, with the technology giant officially announcing the date and schedule last Wednesday.

The event will begin at 10am local time at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. This year’s tagline is “Surprise and Shine.”

Technology analysts expect Apple to use the event to unveil its first foldable iPhone, potentially ending years of speculation about the company’s entry into the foldable smartphone market.

The event is also expected to mark a new era for Apple, as John Ternus is set to lead the launch for the first time as chief executive officer. He is scheduled to succeed longtime CEO Tim Cook on September 1, making the event his first major product launch as Apple’s top executive.

Apple is widely expected to introduce the flagship iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Rather than a major redesign, the new models are expected to focus more on improved internal performance and capabilities.

The standard iPhone 18, however, is reportedly being delayed until next year as Apple considers changes to its iPhone release strategy.

Alongside the new iPhones, Apple is expected to unveil the Apple Watch Series 12 and a new version of the Apple Watch Ultra.

The company may also introduce new smart-home devices as part of efforts to expand its home technology ecosystem.

Apple is also expected to announce release dates for its upcoming software updates, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate, giving users a clearer timeline for the next generation of its operating systems.
