Imran Khan’s sons accuse authorities of trying to kill their father

The sons of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan have accused authorities of deliberately putting their father’s life at risk, saying he is being subjected to harsh conditions in prison.

Kasim and Sulaiman Khan raised concerns over their father’s deteriorating health and alleged that his treatment in custody amounts to an attempt to kill him.

They called for urgent medical attention and greater international scrutiny of his situation.

The allegations have sparked controversy after the brothers discussed their father’s condition in an interview broadcast by Sky Sports during the England-Pakistan Test at Lord’s.

The Pakistan Cricket Board subsequently complained to the broadcaster over the political content of the interview.

Pakistani authorities have denied allegations of mistreatment and said Khan is receiving appropriate medical care.
