Veteran Bangladeshi actor Bapparaj is set to return to the big screen after a long hiatus with the upcoming film ‘Gulshaner Chamelee’, directed by MD Iqbal.
He has officially signed on to play an important role in the movie, the director confirmed.
MD Iqbal said Bapparaj liked both the story and his character, but details of the role will be revealed later.
The director expressed his excitement over having an experienced actor like Bapparaj on board.
The film held its mahurat ceremony at a hotel in Dhaka on August 2, officially launching the project. Tollywood actress Madhumita Sarcar will also star in the movie.
The cast further includes Amin Khan, Azmeri Haque Badhon, Omar Sani, Misha Sawdagor and Rozina in various important roles.
According to the production team, pre-production work is currently underway, with filming planned to begin in December.
