The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has recommended that the Transfer of Property (Amendment) Bill, 2026 and the National Human Rights Commission Bill, 2026 be passed in Parliament with necessary amendments.
The recommendation came at a committee meeting where members reviewed various provisions of the two bills and discussed their implications and implementation.
After a detailed review, the committee recommended passing both bills in amended form.
The meeting was chaired by committee Chairman Muhammad Naushad Zaman. Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman and committee members Emran Ahmed Chowdhury, Shakila Farzana, Md Manzurul Islam, Mohammad Najibur Rahman and Alfaruk Abdul Latif attended.
The secretary of the Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division, along with senior officials from the ministry and the Parliament Secretariat, was also present.
