Bangladeshis waiting for family-based green cards in the United States have received encouraging news as the U.S. State Department’s September 2026 Visa Bulletin shows significant advances in several visa categories.
The biggest improvement came in the F3 category, which covers married sons and daughters of U.S. citizens.
The final action date advanced by nearly two years and five months from the previous month to October 22, 2014.
The F2B category, for unmarried sons and daughters aged 21 or older of U.S. permanent residents, also saw a major advancement, moving forward by more than 19 months to August 22, 2019.
The bulletin also shows progress in other family-sponsored categories, offering relief to many Bangladeshi applicants who have been waiting for years.
The U.S. State Department, however, cautioned that visa dates can move backward if demand increases or annual visa limits are reached.
