The government has appointed new secretaries to four ministries and divisions, promoting three additional secretaries to the rank of secretary.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued seven separate notifications in this regard on Wednesday (September 2).
Additional Secretary to the Cabinet Division Yasmin Begum has been promoted and appointed secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Industries A K M Benjamin Riazi has been appointed secretary of the Health Education and Family Welfare Division, while Additional Secretary Dr A N M Bazlur Rashid, attached to the Ministry of Public Administration, has been appointed secretary of the Health Services Division.
Meanwhile, contractual Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Md Ehsanul Haque has been transferred to the Planning Commission as a member (senior secretary).
Md Kamruzzaman Chowdhury, contractual secretary of the Health Services Division, has been appointed secretary (contractual) of the Ministry of Public Administration in his place.
Meanwhile, Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs Kaniz Moula has been attached to the Ministry of Public Administration for further posting.
In a separate notification, Nasrin Jahan, member (secretary) of the Socio-Economic Infrastructure Division of the Planning Commission, has been sent into retirement upon completing her tenure in government service.
She will retire from government service on September 5 and has been granted post-retirement leave (PRL) for one year.
