Govt Hajj pilgrims to receive Tk 4.87 crore refund

A total of 4,341 pilgrims who performed Hajj under the government arrangement this year will receive Tk 4.87 crore in refunds from the unspent funds.

Religious Affairs Minister Shah Mofazzal Hossain (Kaykobad) disclosed the information at a press conference held at the Secretariat on Sunday (September 6).

The press conference was organised to announce the refund of unspent funds from the Saudi Arabia leg of this year’s government-managed Hajj operations.

State Minister for Religious Affairs Mohammad Shamim Kaiser was also present at the press conference.
