National Citizen Party (NCP) spokesperson Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan and Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari have changed their voter areas ahead of the upcoming city corporation elections.
Asif Mahmud, who was previously registered as a voter under Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), has shifted his voter registration to Aftabnagar under Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).
The Election Commission approved his application after verifying the necessary documents.
Meanwhile, Patwari has moved his voter registration from Dhaka North to Dhaka South. He has been registered as a voter in the Dhaka-8 constituency under DSCC.
The changes have sparked speculation that the NCP may be considering Asif Mahmud for Dhaka North and Nasiruddin Patwari for Dhaka South in the upcoming city corporation elections.
However, the party has yet to make any official announcement on their candidacies.
