The second session of the 13th National Parliament, also the 2026 budget session, will resume today, Tuesday, after a six-day recess.
According to the Parliament Secretariat, the sitting will begin at 3:00 pm with the recitation of the Holy Quran at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
Parliament officials said the session was adjourned on June 30 after the passage of the national budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year. Alongside the budget, the House also approved the Finance Bill and several other key bills.
The budget was placed in Parliament on June 11. Lawmakers from both the treasury and opposition benches later held extensive discussions on the budget. They also addressed key national issues, including the economy, inflation, employment, elections, and law and order.
