Schools, colleges asked to ensure attendance at dengue campaign

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has instructed schools and colleges in Dhaka city to ensure the attendance of students at the inauguration of a nationwide dengue prevention and cleanliness campaign.

The directive was issued following a decision taken at a meeting organised by the Local Government Division on Thursday.

According to the DSHE notice, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will inaugurate the ‘Nationwide Dengue Prevention and Cleanliness Campaign-2026’ at 8am on Saturday (September 12) at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

Heads of educational institutions have been requested to take necessary measures to ensure the attendance of students listed in the attached list of Dhaka city schools and colleges at the programme.

The directive comes as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen dengue prevention and promote cleanliness across the country.
