Popular Bangladeshi actress Pori Moni is set to return to the screen with a new web fiction directed by acclaimed filmmaker Gias Uddin Selim.
The actress, who previously worked with Selim in the films Swapnajal and Gunin, received praise for her performances as Shubhra and Rabeya. She is now teaming up with the director again for a new project titled Separation.
Actor Imtiaz Barshan will play the lead opposite Pori Moni, while popular actor Nirab will appear in a special role.
Pori Moni herself confirmed the project by sharing photos from the shoot on social media. Posting the images with a love emoji, she wrote, “Bismillah, Separation, Gias Uddin Selim.”
Shooting for the web fiction has already begun at the 300 Feet area in the capital.
However, the filmmakers have yet to reveal details about Pori Moni’s character or the storyline. The lack of information has sparked curiosity among viewers about her new role and the story she will portray.
Separation will be released on the OTT platform iScreen.
