The International Crimes Tribunal will deliver its verdict on Tuesday in the July killings case against seven accused, including banned Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader and top leaders of the Jubo League and Chhatra League.

A two-member bench of International Crimes Tribunal-2, headed by Justice Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, fixed the date on Monday.

On August 17, the prosecution concluded its arguments, seeking the maximum punishment for all seven accused as well as confiscation of their assets. The tribunal subsequently kept the case awaiting verdict.

Besides Quader, the other accused are Awami League Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, former State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat, Jubo League President Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash, its General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil, and banned Chhatra League President Saddam Hossain and General Secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Enan.
