The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has officially launched the ‘Clean Care’ mobile app, allowing residents to report waste management and cleanliness-related complaints directly and track the progress of their resolution as part of the city’s digital transformation initiative.
The app was inaugurated on Tuesday at Nagar Bhaban by DSCC Administrator Abdus Salam.
Speaking at the launch, Salam said residents will no longer need to visit the city corporation office to file complaints. Instead, they can submit complaints through the Clean Care app and monitor the action taken by the authorities in real time.
He said the platform is aimed at building a transparent, accountable and corruption-free waste management system. The app will also track how quickly sanitation workers respond to complaints, leaving no room for negligence.
The administrator said the app will help the city corporation identify areas where additional sanitation workers are needed, improving workforce management and service delivery.
Salam added that DSCC is working to transform waste management from a conventional system into a digital one. Data collected through the app will be used to analyse the volume and types of waste generated in different parts of the city, helping authorities improve planning and decision-making.
