Eight more children died with measles symptoms across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths from measles and related symptoms to 1,044 since March 15 this year.
Another 1,320 new cases of measles and measles-like symptoms were reported during the same period.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the figures in its regular measles report on Wednesday, September 16.
