Students of Cumilla University blocked the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway on Sunday, demanding a swift trial for the killing of Ishayek Shahriar Opritom, son of university teacher Dr Nahida Nahid.
The students blocked the highway around 11:15am and staged a protest.
On Saturday, university students had formed a human chain demanding a fair investigation and speedy justice in the killing.
They also placed four demands, including bringing those involved in the murder to justice quickly and ensuring punishment under the law.
