Police recovered 10 cocktails from an abandoned plastic bag in Dhaka’s Jatrabari area, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said on Monday.
The cocktails were recovered around 6pm on Sunday from an old plastic shopping bag found beneath a six-storey building in the South Donia Kacha Bazar area.
Niaz Mehedi, additional deputy commissioner (Media and Public Relations) of the DMP, said police searched the abandoned bag after noticing it lying under the building and found 10 cocktails inside.
The matter was immediately reported to the DMP’s Bomb Disposal Unit. Members of the unit later disposed of the cocktails at Golapbagh Field under Jatrabari police station at around 10:25pm.
Police are conducting an operation to identify and bring those involved in the incident to justice, Mehedi said.
