At least six people were killed and eight others injured in a Saudi airstrike on the Red Sea port city of Mokha in Yemen, the Saba News Agency reported on Tuesday.
The agency, which is based in Yemen, said Saudi warplanes carried out the bombing late Monday night. All the casualties were civilians, including two children and a woman among the injured.
Houthi leaders claimed that Saudi airstrikes on areas and military facilities under their control have increased significantly in recent days.
They said Saudi forces carried out nearly 300 airstrikes between September 11 and 18.
The Houthis also claimed that they shot down a Saudi F-15 fighter jet on September 16 and released footage online purportedly showing the wreckage.
The group has also carried out several attacks on Saudi energy facilities in recent weeks. It further claimed on September 11 that it had taken control of the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
Saudi Arabia has not yet commented on the Houthi claims.
