US President Donald Trump met with Bangladesh Foreign Minister and President of the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Dr Khalilur Rahman on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York on Tuesday.
The meeting took place on September 22, local time, during the high-level General Debate, according to a report by Bangla Tribune. No details were immediately available about what the two leaders discussed.
Dr Khalilur Rahman is presiding over the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, whose high-level General Debate began on September 22.
The session is being held under the theme, “Restoring trust, managing transformation: A United Nations that delivers for all.”
Trump addressed the General Assembly on the opening day of the General Debate, while Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to deliver his address on September 24.
