Five more children died with measles symptoms across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, while 1,280 people were admitted to hospitals with measles or related symptoms during the same period.
The figures were disclosed in a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) control room on Thursday.
According to the DGHS, 101 people have died from confirmed measles cases and another 980 have died with measles symptoms since the beginning of the year.
The combined death toll from confirmed measles and suspected measles cases now stands at 1,081.
