The US Embassy in Dhaka has warned visa holders that overstaying the authorized period in the United States could lead to a permanent ban on future travel to the country.
The embassy issued the warning in a post on its Facebook page on Saturday.
It said individuals who remain in the United States beyond the period authorized under their visa, or engage in activities not permitted by their visa category, could face a permanent restriction on future travel to the country.
The embassy advised visa holders to strictly comply with the terms and conditions of their visas and leave the United States within the authorized period.
It emphasized that visa holders are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable visa requirements and the permitted length of stay.
