Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have so far arrested nine people over the attack, vandalism and looting at the Radda MCH-FP Centre in Mirpur-1, where security guards were reportedly tied up during the incident.
The arrests were made during raids on Friday night, while police also recovered two truckloads of looted goods from the health centre.
The DMP Media and Public Relations Division disclosed the information in a text message on Sunday.
Earlier on Saturday, four of the arrested suspects were produced before a Dhaka metropolitan magistrate’s court and sent to jail. The order was passed by Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Siddiq Azad, according to an SI of the prosecution department of Shah Ali Police Station.
The four suspects were identified as Md Sohel, 22, Md Juel, 23, Md Jihad Hasan, 21, and Md Rabib, 20.
Police said investigations into the incident are underway.
