Pak army claims killing over 71 ‘militants’ in Balochistan

Pakistan’s security forces have killed more than 71 militants during counterterrorism operations across Balochistan over the past 96 hours, the military said.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations targeted groups that Pakistan describes as “Indian-sponsored” militants and Afghan proxies.

The military said several hideouts were cleared and a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives recovered.

The main operation was conducted in the Shaban area of Quetta, where security forces reported killing dozens of militants.

Separate operations in Nushki and Mand also resulted in further militant deaths, according to the ISPR.

Pakistan has repeatedly accused India and Afghanistan of supporting militant groups operating inside the country. India and Afghanistan have denied such allegations.

The latest casualty figures are claims by Pakistan’s military and could not be independently verified.
