The US Embassy in Dhaka has warned visa applicants against providing false or misleading information during visa interviews, saying such actions could result in a permanent ban on entering the United States.
The embassy issued the warning in a visa-related message on social media on Saturday (October 3).
It urged applicants to answer all questions truthfully and not conceal any information or provide misleading details during their interviews.
The embassy also said consular officers have access to information about applicants’ previous violations of US immigration laws.
Providing false information or submitting fraudulent documents could lead to the rejection of a visa application and potentially a permanent ineligibility to enter the United States, it warned.
