Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi has said the legal process is in place regarding the extradition of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
Providing brief background on the circumstances under which India received Hasina, Trivedi said, “The legal system is on.”
He made the remarks on Saturday (October 3) while speaking at a panel discussion titled “Power and Prudence: Managing Great Power Competition without Conflict” at a city hotel.
Responding to a question about Hasina’s extradition, the high commissioner said there were issues between the two countries but solutions could be found for each of them.
“Issues need to be addressed through dialogue and conferences. There has to be a solution, and there will be a solution,” he said.
