Musician and actor Pritom Hasan and actress-model Shahtaj Monira Hashem have announced their decision to end their marriage after 10 years together.
The couple made the announcement in separate Facebook posts on Sunday night, saying they had reached the decision after much thought and discussion.
“After a 10-year journey together, we have decided to end our marital relationship due to significant differences in our mutual understanding,” Pritom said in his post.
They said they remain grateful for the memories and experiences they shared and will continue to hold respect and good wishes for each other.
They also said the decision was made with the support and consent of their families.
The couple are now going through the divorce process and have requested friends, colleagues and the media to respect their privacy and personal space during the transition.
Pritom and Shahtaj first became acquainted while working on Pritom’s song “Jadukor”.
Their relationship later developed into a romance. They married on October 29, 2022, in Sreemangal in the presence of family members and close friends.
