A Dhaka court on Tuesday sentenced three people to death for killing a garment worker after robbing him of money and a mobile phone at the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial in Mirpur four years ago.
The 13th Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court of Dhaka, presided over by Judge Zahidul Islam, delivered the verdict.
The accused were identified as Md Yusuf, Iqbal Khan and Mehedi Hasan and Sujon.
Court bench assistant Sohel Mia confirmed the matter.
The victim, identified as Saimon, was a garment worker. He was allegedly robbed of his money and mobile phone before being killed at the memorial site four years ago.
