Bollywood star Aamir Khan has gifted his wife Gauri Spratt a bespoke wedding ring featuring a rare natural ruby from Madagascar, 40 diamonds and handcrafted detailing that has become the talk of Bollywood.
The couple, who tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Aamir’s sea-facing residence in Mumbai’s Pali Hill on July 5, opted for a private celebration attended by close family members and friends. While the wedding was low-key, Gauri’s striking ring quickly drew attention after photos from the ceremony surfaced online.
According to Indian media, the ring was created by luxury jewellery brand Queen. The brand’s co-founder and CEO, Amit Kumar, told Hindustan Times that it took more than three months to source the perfect natural ruby from Madagascar.
The centrepiece is a cabochon-cut ruby, mounted on a gold crown-inspired setting, and surrounded by 40 natural diamonds along with other precious gemstones.
The handcrafted ring was completed by 131 artisans, who spent a total of 256 hours creating the piece.
Designed to reflect both Gauri’s personal taste and Aamir’s vision, the ring was intended not just as an expensive piece of jewellery but as a lasting symbol of their relationship and a family heirloom for future generations.
