MUNSHIGANJ: Popular Life Insurance PLC handed over insurance claim cheques worth Tk2.47 crore to policyholders in Munshiganj as part of its ongoing special initiative to expedite claim settlements.
The cheques were handed over at the auditorium of the Munshiganj Muktijoddha Bhaban on Wednesday.
Popular Life Insurance Managing Director and CEO and Bangladesh Insurance Forum President BM Yusuf Ali attended the programme as the chief guest.
Additional Managing Director BM Shawkat Ali, Deputy Managing Director Mohammad Khalilur Rahman Sikder, Executive Director Mohammad Jahangir Hossain and General Manager Mohammad Salahuddin Ahmed were present as special guests.
Project In-Charge Mohammad Mozammel Haque chaired the programme.
Speaking at the event, Yusuf Ali said handing over cheques to customers after the maturity of their insurance policies was part of the company’s responsibility.
“We believe that with the trust and cooperation of our customers, Popular Life Insurance will play a more important role in the country’s insurance sector and continue to stand by its customers in the future,” he said.
