Law Minister in Türkiye for Justice Summit

ISTANBUL: Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman arrived in Istanbul on Thursday to attend the International Justice Summit-Istanbul 2026.

Turkish Deputy Minister of Justice Sedat Ayyıldız welcomed the minister at Istanbul Airport, according to a press release issued by the ministry on Wednesday.

Asaduzzaman also met Syrian Justice Minister Mazhar al-Wais, who arrived in Türkiye to attend the summit. The two ministers exchanged views on the historic ties between Bangladesh and Syria and various issues of mutual interest.

They also discussed the longstanding friendship between the peoples of the two countries and the importance of Muslim brotherhood.

The International Justice Summit-Istanbul 2026 is being held in Istanbul on October 8 and 9, with justice ministers, judges, legal experts and prominent figures from related fields from 75 countries taking part.

Asaduzzaman will deliver a speech as a guest of honour at the summit’s opening session on Friday.
