The National Citizen Party (NCP) will launch a weeklong public outreach campaign across Dhaka from October 23 and hold a protest programme at Shahbagh on October 30.
The party announced the programmes on Sunday to protest rising commodity prices, fuel price hikes, deteriorating law and order, threats to public safety, recruitment irregularities and corruption.
The campaign will include leaflet distribution and public outreach at different locations across the capital.
NCP Convener Nahid Islam will inaugurate the programme, with senior party leaders also taking part.
The October 30 protest will be organised jointly by the party’s Dhaka North and South units.
The decisions were taken at a meeting of the party’s political council, the NCP’s highest policymaking body.
